I set up The Payroll Nook to support small local businesses who want straightforward, reliable payroll services - without the stress of keeping up with changing regulations and deadlines themselves.
Based in the North Tyne Valley and a partner in my family business myself, I know how important it is to have trustworthy support within a small business to stay on top of things!

I previously worked as a Payroll Manager within an accountancy practice, supporting a wide range of employers with their payroll and compliance. That experience gave me a strong understanding of what small businesses need from a payroll service; accuracy, clear communication and someone dependable at the end of the phone.
After having my first baby, I decided to create a service that offers the same care and attention to detail, while allowing me to work in a way that fits around family life. By specialising in Payroll only, I'm able to keep my pricing fair and focus on doing one thing properly.
I place a strong emphasis on customer service and communication, and I believe that Payroll works best when clients feel supported, informed and able to ask questions without hesitation. My approach is built around being approachable, responsive and consistent, so employers can feel confident their payroll is in safe hands.
