Our Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service set out the basis on which The Payroll Nook provides Payroll services. By engaging The Payroll Nook, you agree to these terms.

The Payroll Nook provides payroll services only, and does not offer accounting, tax advisory or legal services. 

2. Services provided

​

The Payroll Nook provides payroll processing services as agreed with each client. This may include:

​

  • Payroll calculations

  • Payslip preparation

  • RTI submissions to HMRC

  • Processing starters and leavers

  • Statutory payment calculations

  • Workplace pension submissions

  • Year End payroll submissions

  • General payroll support

The exact scope of services will be agreed before work begins.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

​

  • Providing accurate and complete information

  • Supplying payroll details by agreed deadlines

  • Informing The Payroll Nook of any changes that may affect payroll

  • Reviewing payroll information provided and raising any queries promptly

 

​The Payroll Nook cannot be responsible for errors caused by incomplete, late or incorrect information supplied by the client.

4. Fees and Payment

Fees will be agreed in advance and confirmed before services commence.

​

Invoices will be payable within the agreed payment terms.

The Payroll Nook reserves the right to suspend services if invoices remain unpaid.

5. Confidentiality and Data Protection

All client information is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

6. Limitation of liability

​The Payroll Nook will always take reasonable care in providing payroll services. However, liability cannot be accepted for;

  • Penalties or losses arising from incorrect information provided by the client

  • Delays caused by late submission of information

  • Matters outside the control of The Payroll Nook​

Liability is limited to the value of fees paid for the relevant period of service.

7. Termination of Services

​

Either party may terminate the arrangement by giving reasonable notice.

​

The Payroll Nook may terminate services immediately where there is non-payment of fees or a breakdown in communication that prevents payroll from being processed correctly.

8. Changes to these terms

​

 

The Payroll Nook reserves the right to update these Terms of Service as required. Clients will be notified of any significant changes promptly.

9. Governing Law

​

These terms are governed by the laws of England Wales.
